Real Madrid are aiming to beat Chelsea for Porto striker Radamel Falcao.
The Daily Mail says Falcao has emerged as Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho's top transfer target in a development that will have unwanted repercussions for Chelsea and Manchester City.
With hopes fading of a deal for either Brazil frontrunner Neymar or Atletico Madrid's Sergio Aguero, Mourinho has switched his sights to Falcao and is ready to meet a £26.5million asking price for the prolific Porto finisher.
It will come as a blow to former Porto coach Andre Villas-Boas, who was hoping to return to his old club and make Falcao his first signing as Chelsea boss.
