Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos defends 'angry' Ronaldo

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos defended Cristiano Ronaldo after their 10-2 rout of Rayo Vallecano.

Ronaldo was angry with the home fans whistling the players early in the game.

Ramos said: “Sometimes players are free to express their feelings. He always says what he thinks. When we needed support most from the fans we got whistles, sometimes you need a little love. People single you out when they think you're not giving your all. When they see you giving it all you have they don't get on your case."

On talk of club officials being unhappy with the players, Ramos added: “I don't read the papers. Tell me who is in the club is criticising us so they can say it to my face. No-one has said anything to me."
