Liverpool have sounded out Raul's representatives about the Real Madrid captain moving to Anfield in the summer. Sport says in recent days, Raul has been asked about one final pay-day at Liverpool - and he is now seriously considering the proposal.

Raul is discussing the offer with agent Gines Carvajal, though he knows any move will depend on Real granting him a release from his existing contract.

The Spanish ace, 33, also has multi-million dollar proposals from the Middle East and the USA, but he is keen on the prospect of tasting the Premiership before retirement.
