Real Madrid coach Juande Ramos has thrown down a challenge to his fringe players.

With several injuries hampering his selection for Real's clash with Malaga, Ramos says it's now time for "those who complain" to make the step up.

"I have not created any problem with Guti. He is a player of the squad I'll use when appropriate. Royston Drenthe, Javi Garcia and Julien Faubert are in the same situation," said Ramos.

"I worry very little about this because I believe that Real Madrid has a staff of 25 players. Those who complain when they do not participate have the opportunity to prove themselves now."
