Real Madrid coach Juande Ramos admits Lassana Diarra is proving a valuable addition after victory over Osasuna.

The former Portsmouth midfielder's versatility was crucial as Real came from a goal behind to defeat Osasuna 3-1 yesterday.

Ramos said: "Lass is a versatile player. This kind of footballer is very good for us. He can come on and do very well in difficult games like we played against Osasuna.

"This allows you to make tactical changes and sometimes make them on the fly. Today we have made changes and we have gone well, we took a risk and we are happy. But sometimes, when you take risks, the result is negative.

"The secret was the players made a tremendous effort to turn the match in the second-half, which was very different from the first."
