Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has warned Sergio Ramos he faces a battle to get back into the first team.

Ramos was axed for victory over Champions League opponents Manchester City.

Mourinho said: "The players don't know and if they don't know I can't tell the press. He didn't play the last match and both Pepe and Varane were fantastic; fast, playing with ease and very focused. They didn't have any influence in either of the two goals."
