Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho had a fresh dig at Iker Casillas before victory over Real Valladolid. Mourinho admits he tried to sign goalkeeper rival Diego Lopez in his first season in charge.

Asked about any regrets, Mourinho responded: "It's a difficult and impossible mental challenge that leads to nothing. I have a great relationship with the president, with Jose Angel and with the board. And if there's anything in point at which I could have been more forceful, more demanding, more determined was at the end of my first season.

"I would have brought Diego Lopez in at the end of the first season. I wanted to but I didn't do enough to make it happen. I've wanted but did not do enough to bring. It's a shame."
