Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor is expected to be Real Madrid's final signing of the summer.
Sport says Real coach Jose Mourinho told Adebayor at the end of last season to keep his nerve as he would be returning to Madrid for the new campaign.
With time running out in the summer market and offers drying up for Adebayor, Real represent the only option open to City.
The Madrid giants hope to sign the striker for a knockdown £6 million and could drive down the cash component to £2 million should City accept Fernando Gago in part exchange.
