Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho is interested in Espanyol midfielder Javi Marquez.
AS says Mourinho has been bowled over by Marquez this season and is convinced he can have a huge impact at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The Spain international, 24, is tied to Espanyol until 2013 and his club are anxious about opening new contract talks.
Marquez's deal currently carries an affordable €9 million buyout clause.
