Real Madrid boss Mourinho hands Alex Fernandez winning debut

Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho handed Alex Fernandez a debut in victory over Racing Santander.

The young midfielder has been likened to Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas and was a second-half substitute in the 3-1 win yesterday.

Fernandez is known as 'the Scot' at Madrid because of his red hair.

The midfield schemer has been with Real for the past six years and brother Nacho also plays for the Castilla.
