Real Madrid boss Mourinho goes toe-to-toe with press pack; forces one to apologise

Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho's relationship with the local media is going into meltdown. Mourinho was at his confrontational best yesterday - which led to a row with one journalist, who called him a "hypocrite", then apologised publicly to the former Chelsea manager and also privately for losing his cool.

The exchange went something like this:

Reporter: Do you think you cause controversy so to divert attention away from the faults of your team?

Mourinho: I do not understand your question.

R: Do you feel your complaining is getting out of hand?

Jose: What complaints? R: The schedule, the cards.

Jose: These are not complaints, these are truths. Are you a hypocrite?

R: No.

Jose: Then tell the truth. Do you think they are complaints or truths?

R: I think they are complaints.

Jose: You're a hypocrite, sorry.

R: You too.

Jose: Ok, you have the right to say that, very well.
