Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho is delighted with the return to fitness of Gonzalo Higuain.

The Argentine striker could see action against Real Sociedad today.

Mourinho said: "It's important because there have been many games with only Benzema and help from Morata and from a few others that have had that position. It's important for the competition between the two and that improves players. It's also important for the team and the coach because sometimes they both play at the same time.

"Higuain means goals and he can contribute to a team that's building a lot and not scoring as many goals as before. It's great news for everyone. We don't talk about the footballers that don't play, but now that he's here he's important."
