Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho is prepared to wait for the Manchester United job.
Mourinho covets the role, but doesn't want to be the man to immediately succeed Sir Alex Ferguson.
Former Northern Ireland and Tottenham star Gerry Armstrong, now a Spanish football expert, says Mourinho is willing to wait to move to Old Trafford.
He told talkSPORT: "He's a clever man, Jose Mourinho. You should never underestimate him. He doesn't want to be the next manager of Manchester United because he thinks the next manager of Manchester United is going to fail.
"So he wants to be the manager after the next manager. That's a bit of knowledge from a year ago when he was still at Inter Milan."
