Real Madrid boss Mourinho admits transfer policy designed with eye for future

Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho says their transfer policy this summer has been made with an eye on the future.

There's talk that Mourinho is building a team to last a decade.

And he revealed: "It's hard to pick players for Real Madrid, because we have a really good team and we achieved very good results last season.

"We decided to improve and balance the team without losing sight of the future.

"Fabio Coentrao is 23 years of age, one year younger than Jose Callejon. Nuri Sahin and also Raphael Varane are young and just 18 years of age. We took players who we think may be important for the future of the team."
