Real Madrid boss Ancelotti still furious over Ronaldo appeal snub

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti remains angry over Cristiano Ronaldo's suspension appeal being thrown out.

Ancelotti was visibly angry when asked about the situation after victory over Elche.

"I don't think anyone is too pleased about what happened with Cristiano Ronaldo, it didn't seem right to me to give a three-match ban for what he did, nor that they refused to reduce it by one match, nor that we've had to wait right up to 2 o'clock before finding out. My lasting impression is that it is incredible. I still don't understand it and I won't forget it.

But Ancelotti does not see it as typical of a general problem in Spanish football.

"I don't have much to do with this area of football and anyway I don't believe there is a problem. In the particular case of Cristiano Ronaldo someone has slipped up, but Spanish football generally has a good image outside Spain."
