Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti left Angel di Maria and Sami Khedira out of his squad for their Super Cup defeat to Atletico Madrid. Both players have been linked with Manchester United.

Ancelotti said: "Di María's absence is a technical decision, we didn't need him today.

"Khedira had permission, I gave him permission. When a player is free I'm not interested in his whereabouts."
