Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has defended the quality of the Spanish Liga.

Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone continues to brand the competition as "boring" due to Real and Barcelona's dominance.

But Ancelotti argued: "It is very high because the two teams that are up top are the only ones with 43 points. That is the history La Liga; to win you have to score around 100 points."
