Real Madrid skipper Iker Casillas is becoming a flashpoint over the future of coach Jose Mourinho. Mourinho is unhappy with Casillas' role as captain of the club, preferring a 'warrior' rather than a peacemaker as the goalkeeper is known.
Sport says Mourinho has made it clear he wants Casillas moved on as his influence on the locker room is thwarting his approach which is to generate an 'us vs the world' mentality.
Real president Florentino Perez, however, is reluctant to lose one of the club's great icons, though accepts Casillas' form this season hasn't been at its best.
The board, meanwhile, are growing increasingly concerned they will have to choose between Mou or Casillas at the end of the season - no matter how many trophies they finish with.
