Real Madrid are expected to announce the departure of coach Fabio Capello this week.
Real president Ramon Calderon has been privately canvassing board members in recent days and all are agreed that Capello should be shown the door, despite ending the club's four-year title drought. AS says even his biggest ally, sports director Pedja Mijatovic, has lost confidence in Capello - particularly after fans whistled the Italian at the title celebrations last Sunday night.
Capello, who is holidaying in Tibet, is expected to leave Real with a full £3.5 million salary for the coming season - but won't receive a penny for the final year of his deal.
