Real Madrid are upping their bid for Napoli star Edinson Cavani. Real already have struck a preliminary agreement with Cavani about a move to Spain next season and now have begun negotiating a fee with Napoli.
Azzurri president Aurelio de Laurentiis has turned down Real's opening offer, which was made with Cavani's approval, of €50 million.
But that hasn't put off Real supremo Florentino Perez, who is now willing to go to €56 million to convince De Laurentiis to sell.
For the moment, the movie mogul is referring all suitors to Cavani's €63 million buyout clause.
