Cristiano Ronaldo will miss Real Madrid's meeting with Manchester United in Michigan this weekend.
The Portuguese ace will continue to train himself to full fitness ahead of the UEFA Super Cup against Sevilla in Cardiff on August 12 and will not be present as the European champions take on his former club United in the Guinness International Champions Cup.
Ahead of their third Group A fixture, Real boss Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that Ronaldo would not play at the Michigan Stadium as his side looks to secure their first win of the tournament.
"Ronaldo is working hard but we won't put him out on Saturday," said Ancelotti.
"He will begin training with the squad in Spain after the tour as we plan to use him in the Super Cup."
Madrid are sitting bottom of Group A having lost to Inter Milan 3-2 on penalties after a 1-1 draw and losing 1-0 to AS Roma in Texas on Tuesday.
