Getafe midfielder Abdel Barrada has been a long-term target for Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Barrada has started the season in superb form and attracted interest from England, where Arsenal and Tottenham are keen.

Real chief Ramon Martinez attempted to sign Barrada two seasons ago for Castilla, but was turned down by the Moroccan.

And Barcelona also tried for Barrada a few months later, but the youngster again rejected the offer.
