Real Madrid have axed coaching director Alberto Giraldez.

Giraldez was fired yesterday, having worked alongside Ramon Martinez with Real's academy.

During his career, Giraldez, 52, has coached at Celta Vigo, Sevilla and Valencia. He returned to Real in 2009 after Florentino Perez won the presidency.
