Real Madrid remain hopeful of beating Manchester United to the signing of Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba.
United are willing to meet Juve's €120 million asking price and have agreed personal terms with the Frenchman.
However, AS says Real are confident they are Pogba's first-choice, where he would play for his boyhood idol Zinedine Zidane.
Real officials, in recent talks with Pogba's agent Mino Raiola, asked for 'more time' to consider the situation, particularly given Juve's valuation.
Raiola's claims early last week that "Pogba is happy at Juve, is in no hurry to leave. He might even renew," came a day after meeting with Real officials.
But United are pushing to close a deal this week, with talk in England that Pogba could be in Manchester as early as Tuesday for a medical.
