Real Madrid announce Ancelotti new coach

Real Madrid have announced Carlo Ancelotti as new coach. Ancelotti is to replace Jose Mourinho as Real head coach and the Italian has signed a three-year contract.

Ancelotti's departure leaves a vacancy at Paris St Germain, which will be filled by the former France coach Laurent Blanc.

Real have not confirmed the length of contract handed to Ancelotti, or if any compensation has been paid to PSG, but a statement published on their website read: "Carlo Michelangelo Ancelotti will coach Real Madrid next season.

"The Italian has experienced success in every country where he has managed and arrives in the Spanish capital after being named coach of the season in France."
