Real Madrid are lining up a bid for Manchester United fullback Patrice Evra. The News of the World says Ashley Cole remains Jose Mourinho's first choice, but he fears Chelsea will price the left-back beyond Real Madrid's reach.
Mourinho is already confident of landing Nemanja Vidic from Old Trafford and is also keen on his team-mate Evra.
He has been encouraged after hearing word that the controversial France left-back has already put his Cheshire pad up for sale.
The United defender's house was put on the market last week and half of Manchester City's moneyed squad are already fighting over the remarkable property.
