Real Madrid are ready to relent and allow Alvaro Morata to move to Tottenham as part of their deal for Gareth Bale. The Daily Star says Bale did not train with Tottenham yesterday and stayed behind as the team travelled for today's friendly with Monaco. And Bale - who has made it clear he has no intention of playing for Spurs again - expects chairman Daniel Levy to conclude a deal with the Bernabeu giants' president after the weekend.
The north Londoners want £85m plus hotshot young striker Alvaro Morata - who is valued at around £10m.
Madrid had resisted the prospect of letting Morata, 20, go, but are understood to be ready to sanction a deal as long as a buy-back clause is inserted. Bale could even fly to Madrid this weekend to meet Madrid president Florentino Perez, who has stayed in Spain after his team travelled to the US for a tour.
