Real Madrid midfielder Xabi Alonso admits it will be emotional for him facing former club Real Sociedad.
With Madrid looking to make it seven points from three games at the start of the new Primera Division season, Alonso insists there will be no divided loyalties for him during Saturday's match at the Anoeta stadium.
"There are three points at stake and for the 90 minutes we will be rivals, despite the fact that I've always been and always will be a Real Sociedad supporter," said Alonso, who returned to Spain last year but did not come up against Sociedad in his first season with Madrid as they were still in the second division.
"It's always nice to go back home. I've always been very well received there."
