Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has been contacted by a third party about the prospect of a sensational return to Manchester United. The Daily Star says General Motors are continuing to look at ways of bringing forward their £370m Chevrolet sponsorship deal by a year by buying out current backers Aon.
And they are talking with Ronaldo's representatives over making him a global brand ambassador if he returns to Manchester, with United being able to stump up £200,000 a week in wages.
