Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has slammed the press for attempting to create a rift between himself and Jose Mourinho.
Ronaldo's words after last week's Champions League defeat to Barcelona were interpreted as a criticism of Mourinho's tactics.
But last night, after their 1-1 draw at the Nou Camp, Ronaldo insisted: "I said I liked to play well. It was a storm in a tea cup.
"I feel more comfortable playing in one place than in another. That message is not what I meant.
"I'm used to playing to good refereeing and the press need to know this is what I meant."
