Real Madrid ace Cristiano Ronaldo hit out at his doubters after their Champions League win over Manchester City.

Ronaldo lasted a full 90 to dispel doubts over his thigh injury going into the game.

"People doubt me and I do not know why. They forget that sometimes I recover quickly," he declared.

Ronaldo continued: "It was a full game. The team has been very good. We tried to kill the game with the second goal, but it was not possible. The result was tight, but enough.

"You had doubts because you thought I was going to fall. I recovered quickly, as (Zinedine) Zidane said I was one hundred percent. I was a hundred percent, obviously not at the physical level, because I've been out for a long time, but I've done a good job for the team and we are in the final, which was the first target."
