Real Betis are resigned to losing Dani Ceballos to Real Madrid.

The youngster has also been linked with Arsenal, but is expected to join Real Madrid this week.

If Real Madrid go ahead and sign Ceballos, the Andalusian club won't keep him on loan for the coming season. The coaching staff feel his staying at Betis would do more harm than good due to the hostile reaction it might provoke in Betis fans.

Betis midfielder Didier Digard told MARCA: "It's perfectly normal big clubs should be interested in him. If I were in charge of a football team I'd want to sign him, but right now the best thing he can do is hone his skills at Betis.

"This is a perfect place to develop as a player, then wait and see what happens."
