Real Betis president Juan Carlos Ollero has announced his resignation.

His irrevocable decision to step down as Real Betis president is due to existing differences within the board of directors.

"The differences within the board played a part in the decision regarding Leandro Damiao.

"I regret having to intervene in these exceptional circumstances affecting Betis, but I feel obliged to do so. Betis and their fans deserve to know what is happening," he explained.
