Real Betis are keeping tabs on Hernan Crespo's situation at Inter Milan.

Crespo has declared his departure from Inter as "inevitable", but wants to remain in Europe as he seeks a place in Argentina coach Diego Maradona's 2010 World Cup squad.

The former Chelsea striker came close to joining Real Madrid in January before their deal for Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, but he remains on Betis president Manuel Ruiz de Lopera's shopping list.
