Real Betis are eyeing Inter Milan midfielder Joao Mario.

The Portugal international is eager to leave Inter - and Serie A - this summer.

Having spent six months on-loan at West Ham last season, Mario had hoped to return to England before Thursday's Premier League deadline.

Estadio Deportivo says Betis are looking to sign a midfielder and Mario is very much on their shortlist.

However, they would only be willing to do a loan with option to buy, whereas the Beneamata would prefer an outright sale.
