Real Betis coach Quique Setien was left frustrated after their 3-5 defeat to Real Madrid.

Setien is adamant they had Madrid "on the ropes" at the final whistle.

The coach said, "We have put them on the ropes, we have done what we could.

"I'm a little sad, we did a lot of things well, we committed a lot against Madrid and put them in a lot of difficulties, we did an extraordinary first half but it cost us more at the restart.

"We were squeezed, there were losses and the third goal hurt us a lot, then we recovered a bit, we had space and we played in their field to get another goal, it could not be but I think we played a very good game and did what we could."
