Real Betis coach Pepe Mel has expressed interest in Arsenal striker Carlos Vela.

The Mexico international has declared he has no interest in returning to Arsenal after an enjoyable season on-loan with Real Sociedad.

Mel is keen and admitted: "We are interested in, he knows this from last year.

"But the news we have is that Arsenal wants to cash, wants to sell him, and so for a club of Betis' finances it is complicated."
