Reading's Matejovsky gives Czech Republic fans different side to Hunt

Marek Matejovsky says Reading teammate Stephen Hunt's controversial reputation is undeserved.

Hunt will forever be remembered for an incident involving Matejovsky's countryman and Chelsea star Peter Cech which saw the keeper left with a fractured skull.

However, Matejovsky told Sport: "When I first arrived at the club, he was among the first ones to arrive in the dressing room.

"He was the first one to take me around the facilities.

"He is a very quiet and nice lad. What happened with Petr Cech was just an unfortunate coincidence.

"When I was in the Czech Republic, I was telling myself 'that guy must be rowdy', but now I am getting to know him I must say that he is a really polite person."
