The 31-year old felt everything went "really well", and told the club's official website: "It lasted about an hour and a half.

"The surgeon looked at it and said straight away it is probably one of the best he has seen. There was no swelling, it looks knitted together really well."

Little is not expecting to be available any time soon, though, adding: "They said it will take around four to six months.

"I would love to be back with maybe 10 games of the season to go."
