Reading's Gunnarsson confident shutting down Arsenal midfield

Reading midfielder Brynjar Gunnarsson is confident of success tonight against Arsenal's star-studded midfield.

Gunnarsson missed last season's 4-0 loss at home to Arsenal but is hoping his marking skills can be as effective as on the first day of this season in the 0-0 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford.

"Against United we followed our man," he said "Me and James Harper were up against Paul Scholes and Michael Carrick and we shared them between us. I was more on Scholes than Carrick and we got the point. We limited their chances. I would be fine about doing the same with Fabregas."

But he admitted it would be a very tough task.

"Fabregas has been fantastic so far," he said. "He has 10 goals already, which for someone who didn't score that many goals last season is unbelievable. They are just creating chances - maybe 10 good ones a game - and there are five or six different players who could be on the end of those chances."
