Reading boss Brian McDermott is closing in on a deal for Lens youngster Geoffrey Kondogbia.
The Daily Mail says McDermott has made a £5m move for teenager Kondogbia.
The 19-year-old was wanted by Newcastle and Juventus and only broke into Lens' first team two years ago, but is emerging as one of the best defensive midfield prospects in France. He has represented the country from U16 to U19 level.
