Reading are the latest club to show interest in Chelsea youngster Nathaniel Chalobah.
The Daily Mail is of the belief that the Royals have joined the likes of Watford and Ipswich Town in the race for the highly-rated 20-year old midfielder.
Chalobah was set to join French club Bordeaux on loan for the rest of the season but a FIFA rule prevented him from doing so as he has already played for two other top flight clubs - Chelsea and on loan with Burnley - this season.
The fact that Reading, Watford and Ipswich are all in the Championship would allow Chalobah to still make a move away from Stamford Bridge as he seeks to further his development with regular first-team game time.
It has been suggested that the Royals are leading the way in the pursuit of Chalobah who starred on loan for Watford in 2012/13.
