Danny Shittu has underlined he is looking to leave Watford following the club's relegation.

The former QPR defender was an imposing presence in The Hornets' backline last season and has been linked with Reading after Adrian Boothroyd's side failed to stay in the Premiership.

Whilst Shittu admits he has no problems with life at Vicarage Road, the lure of the Premiership is strong for the Nigerian international.

"I love Watford, the fans and my team-mates but I want to stay in the Premiership," said Shittu in the Daily Star Sunday.
