Chelsea midfielder Lucas Piazon is determined to make his mark with Reading.
Having waited patiently through pre-season before opting for Reading, he will target promotion to the Barclays Premier League while attempting to prove he can still have a future at Stamford Bridge.
"The reason I came to England at 17 was to play for Chelsea," said Piazon. "All the players out on loan, we all want to play for Chelsea.
"We also want to play in one of the biggest leagues in the world and we want to compete well. If it is not possible I will have to move on and find the best solution for my career.
"But it is important for me to have a good season. I have to do a good job, score goals and show people what I can do. For me it's good to stay here in Reading, close to Chelsea and experience English football.
"I came here four years ago and have only played in England for the youth team and three games in the first team. It doesn't matter that it's in the Championship because it is a strong league. It is a difficult league with many games and I can improve myself.
"I feel fit and I feel strong. I've been training for two months and Reading have a good team. We can have a successful season."
