Reading striker Jason Roberts feels that John Terry should be hit with a much harsher sanction.
The Chelsea captain decided to not appeal his four-match ban and £220,000 fine he received from the Football Association for racially abusing QPR's Anton Ferdinand a year ago and Roberts suggests the punishment should be more severe, imploring the former England skipper's club to 'do what's right.'
"I think for a club like Chelsea, if you find yourself in the middle of this, you have to be seen to be doing the correct thing and the correct thing is to be taking action against someone who has done something like that in the game," he told Sky Sports News HD.
"The fact someone is such a huge part of a club, you have to make a decision on that and as I said, it's come a year too late, and we'll wait and see what the authorities further have to do about it.
"Certainly a four-game ban is nowhere near what people would expect for something like this.
"I think they should be considering everything. Like you said, if someone uses those words in the workplace they would be sanctioned accordingly.
"I guess it's up to Chelsea to do what's right."
