Reading have confirmed they received an offer for Andre Bikey with Premier League newcomer Burnley heavily linked.

Burnley boss Owen Coyle is keen on shoring up his defence and the Cameroon international seems to fit the bill.

Royals manager Brendan Rodgers said that enquiries had come for Bikey but said it would have to be a good offer for him to leave Madejski Stadium.

"We've had a couple of enquiries with regards to Andre. We've taken that on board. We've had an offer and we'll wait and see on that one," Rodgers said.

"If anyone goes it is going to take an extraordinary deal or the chance for them to play at a bigger level. I haven't got people banging on my door, crying to go. If anything it is the opposite."
