Reading fullback Ian Harte expects manager Brian McDermott to strengthen the squad for their Premier League campaign.

Harte has been impressed by McDermott's knack in the transfer market.

"Of course we're going to strengthen in certain positions but that's the difficult task for the manager. Over the summer he will try and find players who can come in and join the group but not upset the squad.

"But we've seen the type of players he has brought in like Kaspars Gorkss and Jason Roberts and they've been fantastic signings."
