Reading pair Jobi McAnuff and Mikele Leigertwood actually played together as school kids!

The Reading midfielders used to pair up in playground kickabouts as pupils at Abbeywood School, North London.

McAnuff told The Sun: "We were football mad and played all the time - in the playground, down the streets and were in the same side together.

"Mikele was a year below me and such a good player he was drafted into my age group for the school team.

"We never imagined in our wildest dreams that one day we'd be running out together at places like Stamford Bridge, Old Trafford and Anfield together in the Premier League."
