Reading chairman Anton Zingarevich insists his relationship with manager Brian McDermott is rock solid.
McDermott was unhappy with Zingarevich going public over his shopping list last week.
Zingarevich said he had been misinterpreted when reports quoted him saying 10 players would be signed in January.
"What I really said, when asked about (Andrey) Arshavin, is that he's a good player. I said that if he's available, like another 10 to 15 players who would be in the winter, then we'd sit down and discuss. But the manager will make the final decision on transfers," he told the Daily Mail.
