Reading face a battle to keep hold of veteran striker Jason Roberts.
The Sun says Royals chief Brian McDermott will offer striker Roberts, 34, a two-year deal to fend off interest from clubs in America and the Middle East.
The former Blackburn Rovers and Wigan Athletic forward was instrumental in their promotion last season.
